About Hops 'n Hope

We’re Hops ‘n Hope, because we want to bring the power of beer to the frontline in the fight for positive change, and we’re hopeful that our beer can bring people together to make real and lasting results. Hops ‘n Hope is a brew pub that caters to those of us that would like to do good in everything we do.

Hops ‘n Hope wants to be the brewery that begins a trend in compassionate capitalism. Where philanthropy is a key component of our business model, not an ancillary afterthought. We’re the conscientious craft beer producers, and all around life improvers.

Nestled in young and urban Belltown we’re confident that there’s a growing population of similarly minded beer enthusiasts looking for an opportunity to express their altruism.

Now let’s meet the minds behind Hops ‘n Hope

I was born and raised In Spokane Washington. Unsure of what I wanted to do I chose business as my intended major when I First arrived at WSU. Business seemed like something I could do well in, and it sounded like you could do a lot of talking to people, which is something I love to do. After struggling my first year with math classes and scared of the math classes to come I found out about the Communication program. Initially my understanding of the Com School was for newspaper writing and broadcasting. I soon learned all the many options the program has to offer. I found out about the advertising option and this was right up my alley. Switching my major has been great for me and I can’t wait to dive further into it. I also just recently decided to double major in Communication Technology.

My dream job would be to work for Nike in the marketing department. I also would really like working for a startup company and see what my hard work could become in the long run.  I think my hard work and collaborative skills are an asset of mine. I work well with others and often time come up with good ideas or help others fine tune their ideas. I can meet a deadline with plenty of time to fix any hiccups. When given a task in a group project I am good about doing my part, in addition open to suggestions from my group members.

I am from Sammamish, WA and am currently a junior at Washington State University pursuing a degree in Strategic Communication and a minor in Business Administration. I am the Vice President of Intellectual Development of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. I provide support and academic resources to all members. I am good at working as part of a team and taking on a leadership role. I am a great multitasker and always meet deadlines. I am a very outgoing person and comfortable talking to people. I enjoy working with others and being social. I have lots of experience working with philanthropic and non-profit organizations. In the future I plan to continue to volunteer with philanthropic organizations and pursue a career at a public relations firm in the Seattle area.

I’m from Seattle, Washington and I'm currently a senior at Washington State University. I am pursuing a double major in Strategic Communication in advertising and Spanish. My parents are originally from Guadalajara, Mexico. They have helped me develop a deep appreciation for my culture and language. My dream job is to work for an organization that incorporates both of my majors. I’m excited to pursue my career in communication because I love collaborating with other people. I’m interested in knowing how to effectively create a message to communicate to an audience. I see myself as a compassionate teammate and a great multitasker.

I spent my early years in Northeast Ohio, before eventually migrating all over the U.S. with my family. I’m finishing up a degree in Strategic Communication, with a focus in advertising. I’m also very interested in behavioral psychology and hope to eventually integrate what I’ve learned as I progress towards a career in advertising and marketing. It’d be gratifying to work for an organization that had something of a philanthropic bent.

I find substantial enjoyment working with a team. Leading and collaborating on an idea or a project, figuring out what works and what doesn’t is always exciting. Listening to ideas, and maintaining an open mind are priorities for me, and character features I strive to embody everyday. I’m no stranger to hard work, as I’ve been working two jobs while going to school. Nevertheless I find ways to maintain a light-hearted positivity in everything I do.
